Flageno shows a field only when its source is defined. This seed was retrieved on 2026-09-26. The World Bank last updated the population and land-area series on 2026-07-13.
The seed is eight United Nations member states. The site does not treat that count as the number of countries in the world.
What is shown
- English and Arabic names: Unicode CLDR.
- Population: midyear estimate, indicator SP.POP.TOTL, World Bank, CC BY 4.0. The reference year is shown beside the number.
- Land area: indicator AG.LND.TOTL.K2. This is land area as the World Bank defines it, not total area, and not a decision about disputed boundaries.
- Capital: the single capital city in the World Bank country record. Where a country has more than one capital, that field does not list them all.
- Continent and subregion: UN M49. The North America browse group combines Northern America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Its label comes from CLDR.
- Codes: alpha-2, alpha-3, and the numeric code as published in UN M49.
- Languages: CLDR official-status values only. They are not ordered as a first and second language.
- Currency: the current CLDR currency, with a symbol only when CLDR publishes one.
- Calling code: libphonenumber metadata. Some codes are shared by more than one territory.
- Country-code domain: the IANA root zone database.
- Time zones: zone1970.tab from the IANA time zone database, which is in the public domain.
- Places: GeoNames cities5000, CC BY 4.0, using the method written on the country page.
- Flag: one Wikimedia Commons SVG per country. The file page is stored on the country record. These eight files are marked public domain.
What is not shown
This version does not show driving side, coat of arms, a count of cities, flag symbolism, or a map. Those fields do not have a selected, consistent source in the seed.
